Investigation: Emails show candidate was offered, quickly terminated from OSM director position

In the summer of 2019, I was part of a team that conducted an investigation into the hiring and firing of a potential administrator who had allegedly censored a story about sexual assault. The investigation revealed that the candidate was hired before we published the first of four stories, and then he was fired after the second story was published.
